It’s hard to believe it, but it’s been six weeks since we opened our doors! Here’s what’s been happening since we started this Party.

For starters, we’ve been brewing up a storm. When we’re not making more of our Rank & File (a.k.a.: year-round) beers, we’re trying different things to give you a wide variety of choices!
Here’s a list of all of the Visiting Brass (a.k.a.: seasonal/one-off) beers:

  • Yellow Fever (Jalapeño Blonde)
  • Moneypenny English Summer Ale
  • Vanilla Porter
  • Kool and the Gang (Malt Liquor with Fresh Mint)
  • Chocolate Porter
  • Capitalist Pig (Maple Bacon Koffee Kream)

On May 17, we were a guest on American Craft Beer Radio’s talk show. We had a great time with the guys at ACBR; we even brought them some of our Superpower IPA, and they loved it!

While we don’t serve food here at Comrade Brewing, we’ve been hosting plenty of food trucks and carts over the past six weeks. We’ve had delicious gyros and falafel from Wikipita, mouth-watering fries and brats from Street Frites, and tasty Creole/Cajun cuisine from Jessie’s Smokin’ NOLA, just to name a few!

We kicked off our Sensory Training Workshops with a bang last week with a sold-out class! These workshops are a great way to get to know beer better and help you identify each style’s characteristics. Class is in session on the Tuesday night of your choice, at 7 PM, so sign up now!

At the beginning of June, we hosted our first official night of Geeks Who Drink Pub Quizzes. We’ll be hosting these trivia games weekly, on Wednesday nights at 7 PM. Bring a friend (or five) and come show off your badass trivia skills!

Lastly, we’re really excited about our growler cards. These cards a great ways to enjoy our brews all-year round, especially when you can take them home and share them with your own comrades!

If you haven’t stopped in to try our beers, then we’d love to see you in the summer months! Come grab a pint, chat with our beertenders, and take a tour of our place with our head brewmaster.
